A six year old teaches me resilience

It felt like the longest week of the year.  My students were not particularly difficult.  If anything, the continue to surprise me with their resiliance.  They must be exhausted, I keep thinking.  So, I’m using their stamina to ride through these last rough weeks of winter.  One little girl in particular has really taught me how to be grateful and take one step at a time.  After several sets of casts and surgeries to correct her legs, she is jumping up and down showing me how she can do jumping jacks.  She is amazing.  I pushed her wheelchair through snow just to get these kiddos outside not long ago.  But now, she’s skipping!
